K5.55 Repair
Hi,
I have a Karacher K5.55 and whilst the unit is plugged in to the mains and switched on and the water supply on, the pump is going on and off constantly until you pull the trigger then in runs as normal. Any ideas what is wrong with it and if so is it something that can be fixed economical. I have clean the inlet filter and it has made no difference. Have also run the machine without the lance and it pulses then too. Regards, Ying |

RE: K5.55 Repair
it sounds like you may have a crack on the inside of the pump that is letting the water leek internal while the machine should be at rest, this will get worse, you will start to loose pressure, you will need to change the control head of the machine, part number 9001105, a simple swap over of the unit if you can get inside, we do offer a collection service for this machine,

RE: K5.55 Repair
[size=large i am absolutley fuming with myself for purchaseing a karcher k5.55m pressure washer , the thing is 15 months old & barely had 8 hours use , its drained of water & packed away untill spring . then it starts to pulsate so i renew the control head part no 9001104 & also the 90011050 cylinder head total cost plus petrol £50 & the blasted machine is no different which is the maddening part , i feel like i have been mugged & got a good kicking . i gave away my previous 1980 s karcher as i found it to heavy for me as i am not as able with lifting etc as i was years ago , so i bought a new one on wheels to make life easier for myself , how wrong i was !! my neighbour is outside useing my old machine as i speak that gave me no trouble whatsoever. my paths etc are always kept immaculate & the new machine had very little work to do , with no deep power washing to shout about. i am at a loss now of what to do , surely i should not have to spend or throw away more money to get things going again , i could have hired a machine & been quids in with what i have used it for in time. anyway i have had my gripe now & i wont be buying another karcher now as i have lost all faith in them , if anyone out there is thinking of purchaseing one of these machines ! i would really think about the advice given about these machines on different forums etc. regards[/size] |
